Bumight: Part 2

Long time no blog! I know this blog is deserted but I m back! I pretty much stopped working out because I didnt get to go to the beach/pool to show off the bikini body I slaved for. What's more, I backslid (further) and started eating all the junk I wasn't supposed to! *gasp*
The result? I've gained back all the weight I lost...and then some! So like the prodigal daughter, I'm finding my way back home (to the gym). I do better when there's a sort of accountability process, and this blog will be so for me.
Early on this week, I found my way back to the gym and almost fell off the treadmill! And I wasn't even running at a fast pace! Yup, I'm a learner all over again!

So here are my stats:
Starting weight : 168
Bust: 38
Waist: 30.5
Navel: 32
Hips: 40
Thighs: 21.5, 21

Bumight: Final weigh in

Weight: 152.5
Waist: 28
hips: 39

Starting weight was 163.5,
Waist: 30
Hips: 40

I lost a total of 11 Ibs, even though my gol was to lose 15 Ibs. My weight fluctuated a lot, and I almost always hovered around 160/159. I lost more inches, and saw better progress with my measurements than on the scale. Also I didn't just become a smaller version of myself, my whole body changed! Slimmer thighs and more definition in my mid region.
My new goal is to lose 10 more Ibs.

So this month, my challenge is to do 1,000 burpees.burpees are an excellent <del> most hated</del> excercise that works almost all muscle groups. I'm currently 340 burpees in, and it hurts to laugh as my abs and back are almost always sore, love it!

I'm definitely going to keep challenging myself and working out. I might not stp on the scale often again, because the scale is the most inaccurate method to track progress. I worried about the scale not moving more often that I almost failed to recognize the other ways I have progressed.

Isha - Final Weigh In

Starting Stats
Weight: 97.8kg
Waist: 38in
Height: 5'4" (or so)
Bust: 43in
Hips: 48in
Thigh: 30.5in

Current Stats
Weight: 94.3kg (3.5kg)
Waist: 36.5in
Height: 5'4" (or so)
Bust: 39.5in
Hips: 46.5in
Thigh: 28.5in

My lowest weight during this program was 92.3kg. We had a Prayer and Fasting session in June, so my irregular eating habits musta 'helped'. My clothes still fit better than before I started paying attention to what I eat. I'm a lot hungrier than before though, but I hear that's not too far fetched.

I'm continuing on this journey though, if this blog is still up, I'll keep posting.

Thank you ladies.

Sting - Final weigh in

Weighed myself this morning.....148lbs. Was running late so couldn't take a picture. Actually in a lecture right now typing this.

Waist was 30.5. I think it was 34 inches when we started. Pictures later.

I will start again next week for those who want to continue. Atoskin, you can restart with me/us if you want or continue. Either way works.

The consistency here has helped a lot and I intend to keep on pushing.

Thank you @MadamSting for starting this.
And for everybody else..just keep doing the right things and remain patient.
Results will definitely come.

~Sirius~ signing out....XoXo!

Ps: If the blog is still open, I will still be updating occasionally.

Week 2 - Atoskin

Hello Fitfam,

I am very delighted to know that i am making progress on my weight loss journey. Basically what i have been doing is eating a lot of beans, it used to be so much of hard work because i never liked beans. I have also reduced my carbohydrate intake, my portions are reduced and i drink a lot of water and use ribena as a substitute sometimes.

My routine exercise takes about 45 minutes daily. I haven't been faithful with it but i ensure that i exercise thrice in a week at least. I either jog for 45 mins or run up and down the stairs for thirty minutes.

Have a great week people.

Kaura's week 11 & 12

for week 11 I was as 182lbs
for week 12 I am at 181lbs

my diet has been neither here nor there, for these past 1-2 weeks. I may have started over-thinking it and then in reaction to that just felt like f$%k this whole weight loss business. But here I am again, I don't think I could ever really completely give up on trying to be healthier, no matter how annoying/tasking it can be. Goal this week is gradually remove the unhealthy food I've been eating.

Bumight: Week 12

Weight: 152.5
Waist: 27.8
Hips: 39
Bust: 36
Navel:30

so my pictures are not making it through to email, so I cant post, but I promise you the weight is real! lol

I put up the post on Instagram and a few people asked me to share what I do on the blog. so here goes:
My diet has been out of wack for the past couple of weeks, mainly because my church fasted this month, and I pretty much ate whatever after breaking my fast. I'll get back on track next month though, so I'll share my workout routine instead.

I go to the gym 4 times a week.
Monday & Thursdays: chest, biceps, triceps, shoulder, back
Tuesdays & Fridays: Quads, glutes, hamstrings

Almost everytime I go in I do interval cardio for 25 minutes max (mostly I do 15 mins)
HIIT cardio: warmup 2 mins- walking at 3.0 mph
run 6.0mph for 1 minute, walk 3mph for 1-2 mins
run 7.0 mph for 1 minute, walk 3mph for 1-2 mins
I go all the way to 10 mph. at 10mph I do 30 secs to 45 secs.
cardio done! usually I'm sweating like a pig by the time I'm done, and it usually adds up to 1 mile.

Upper body workout: 1 hand row, bicep curls, overhead tricep dips, bench tricep dip, bench press, incline bench press, shoulder bench press, shoulder shrug.
All of this I do reps of 10 for 3 sets. I've increased the weights and decreased the reps to 8.

Lower body: weighted squats, weighted lunges, weighted step ups, dead lifts.

Hope this helps!
